About

Fifteen counties and three Workforce Development Board Regions in western North Carolina have joined together as the Future Workforce Alliance to raise the educational attainment and skill level of our region. Together these counties are launching a campaign with a simple message:  “Get NOT Out of Your Life.”  The campaign is designed to encourage working-age adults (those 25-44 years of age with high school diplomas or less) to take the first step by going back to school; learning new skills; earning new certifcations, credentials or degrees; and improving their employment opportunities.

The campaign will connect interested adults with a Success Coach in their own communities who will guide them through the educational process and paperwork, as well as connect them with resources to help them overcome whatever barriers (or “NOTs”) that are standing in their way of going back to school.  Together, the Future Workforce Alliance is working to "Get NOT Out" of our communities, our businesses and our people.

Do you or someone you know need to "Get NOT Out" of your life? If so, take the first step now. Call 211 and tell the agent you want to "Get NOT Out" of your life.

Do you want to volunteer time or money to help someone in your community "Get NOT Out"?  If so, take the first step now. Contact Lamar Mitchell via phone (828) 327-7000 ext 4709 or via email at lmitchell@cvcc.edu.
